SNOW!!!

Last weekend I had a really good time. On Saturday I met some friends at the supermarket and we bought some food and beer and after we met other students from my school and waited for the bus wich would take us to Springfield. We arrived at our backpacker at 7:00 p.m. and we had a delicious diner together. During the rest of the night we drank, played cards and enjoyed our time together. It was a good time. However, we had to go to bed early because Sunday we had to wake up early. Sunday started with a delicious breakfast, which was the best I had eaten in New Zealand. After that we went to Mt. Hutt. It took 1:30 hours from Springfield to Mt. Hutt. The road up to the montain is dangerous and we had to take care. We arrived there and each one chose skis or snowboards. I had tried surfing and it didn't work, I had tried skating and that didn't work. Everybody told me that Snowboarding is more exciting. I forgot the past and chose a snowboard. How stupid I was. After 3 hours and more than 10 times falling down, I gave up at lunch time. I spent my afternoon watching the others. Also I played with children and I took the lift to the peak. The views are amazing and I am sure that I will never forgot how I felt there.

Nelson

A long time I didn't write anything here. These days I am very lazy. One month ago I went to Nelson, my last trip in The South Island. On the first day I just drove to Nelson. The road is not too beautiful if you compare it with the others. When we arrived there we visited some local beaches and pryed for the weather on the other day to be good. Maybe our pryers are not enough. The day was sunny in spite of the wind being so strong and our Kaiak trip was cancelled and we had to visited The National Tasman Park on foot and by boat. It was not how we had planned it but it was really good. We visited four wonderful beaches, desert beaches. We walked for five hours but the views were perfect. During the next day we went to Farewell Spit, The Northenest part of the South Island, and we saw more beaches, sheep farms and one seal, just one. After that we went to "Te Waikoropupu Springs" which is famous for having the cleanest water in New Zealand. Last day we went to Picton to see the Ferry Boat and when we come back to Christchurch, we found one place near kaikoura, which had more than thirty seals baby. This moment was awesome. We touched the babys and saw them playing. Then we stopped in Kaikoura to eat "fish and chips" and arrived in Christchurch at night. On the other day, we went to Akaroa but the weather sucked and it just rained and hailed so we couldn't see anything.

Franz Josef

Hi Friends! Now Im writing in this blog just in English because i need to practice more and it dosen't matter if i make a lot of mistakes.
Last friday I went on a new trip. I went to Franz Josef to see and walk on the Glaciers. We left Christchurch at 9:00 am and took the road.
Our first stop was in Springfield, where we took some pictures of a Big Donut that was talking after "The Simpsons".
The next seven hours, we saw mountains, waterfalls, bridges, lakes and lots of nice views.
We saw some sheep and I could gave some taps.
We arrived in Franz Josef at 18:00 pm and we went to our Hostel. I was tires and slept after dinner.
I needed to wake up earlier on saturday. Saturday was a good day. I woke up earlier and I went to the place where I met the guides. I took my equipament and took the bus to the Glaciers.
The Glacier is awesome. I can't describe how I was feeling when I saw so much ice. I walked for six hours, passing through tunnels, up ice stairs, but it was very hard physically. When i finished that walk I was really tired and i got two blubo (calo) on my feet, but the view and this experience I will carry in my mind for my life.
I was tired but after that, I drove for more three hours to Greymouth, where we would sleep this night.
The hostel in Greymouth was perfect. The best hostel I have been in my life. I know, I don't know lots of Hostels but "Global Village" is very good, you can believe me.
On Sunday, I can call "Beach Day". I drove on the West Coast and we saw beautiful beaches. We stopped at Punakaki and saw the "Pancake Rocks" (look the photos) and in West Port we could see a couple of Seals.
We arrived in "Hammer Springs" late and I tried the famous HOT POOLS. Im just saying one word about the pools "relaxing", is like Termas Hotel in Brazil but just pools.
After I relaxed we came to Christchurch and finished our second trip in The South Island of New Zealand.
NEXT?????? NELSON!!!!!!
